The perfect man
How far would you go to get money for your future? Would you get a job? Would you become another person to make money? Well, in Netflix’s new movie “The Perfect Date” the main character, Brooks Rattigan, creates a dating app that ensures girls their perfect date. However, creating this app was not what Brooks cracked it up to be.
The movie, “The Perfect Date,” is a Netflix original. Netflix released it on April 12, 2019. This movie is rated TV-14. It is rated TV-14 for its’ mild use of profanity.
“The Perfect Date” is about how the main character, Brooks Rattigan, has the grades to get into Yale but he is missing an outstanding extracurricular activity and the money. Brooks seizes the opportunity to make some extra cash by posing as the boyfriend of a self-assured, combat boot-loving girl named Celia Lieberman, he finds he has a knack for being the perfect stand-in. Together with his programmer friend Murph, Brooks launches an app selling himself as a plus-one for all occasions. Along the way, he meets the girl of his dreams. But when the business starts to boom, Brooks must reassess everything he was once sure of.
The starring actor in this movie is Noah Centineo. In addition to starring in “The Perfect Date”, Noah also stars in the movie “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” and “Sierra Burgess is a Loser.” Other actors who are in this movie are Laura Marano, Odiseas Georgiadis, and Camila Mendes. Laura Marano stars in the T.V series “Austin and Ally.” Odiseas Georgiadis is also in the movie, “The Post.” Camila Mendes stars in the T.V series, “Riverdale.”
Like every other movie, “The Perfect Date” has its strengths and weaknesses.
The strengths of this movie are that the character grew throughout the movie, the audience was able to connect with the characters, and the producers ended the movie in a happy ending instead of leaving the audience confused and wanting more.
However, the weaknesses are that the beginning of the movie is slow to introduce the characters and to spark interest in the audience, and the movie itself is confusing and complicated in the beginning; but, if you pay attention to everything then you will be able to follow the movie and understand.
All in all, I would recommend this movie to others. I would especially recommend it to an audience who has an interest in movies whose endings outway the beginning of the movie; people who would also enjoy this movie are people who enjoy watching character development and who want to see how no matter what happens, one can get their happy ending.
