Anticipation for the Avengers Endgame

This is the month. April is the month that the Avengers finally reach the end in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There has been a lot of anticipation building up to this moment in the present years but now we have finally reached the climax.

Now, I find it somewhat hard to believe that people that are paying close attention to the Avengers remember what occurred during the infinity war and after the snap. Even people that haven’t watched the movie--a select few I’m sure-- is familiar with the ‘Mr. Stark I’m not feeling too good’ meme which was splayed across basically every social media platform imaginable. However, for the select few that have yet to few the previous movie ‘The Avengers: Infinity War,’ this is what happened: Thanos, an overwhelming strong enemy that the Avengers have never faced before had come in search of the Infinity Stones that were on the earth in the possession of Dr. Strange and Vision. Long story short, they end up on Thanos home planet, fight but in the end lose and he obtains all of the Infinity Stones and does what is notoriously known as ‘The Snap’ that basically eliminates half the universe.

Fast-forward to what I heard two years later and what remains of the Avengers which is currently still trying to find a solution to getting everyone back. Captain Marvel, is going to be a new edition in this, which is fascinating because she hasn’t been back to Earth since the ’90s. To say that people are a little excited to see this movie might be an understatement. To me, I see the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a pretty big identifier of the 21st Century with its movies, just like how Back To The Future is iconic for the ‘80s. However, Marvel has done what Marty McFly could not. The Avenger’s Endgame has made record highs with its presale tickets. 4 tickets to the movie in New York’s Times Square are selling for $60,000 off of eBay. Just last week someone bought just two tickets for the same of 15,000 off the same sight. So, if you had in mind of getting off of work and just not wanting to go home yet and want to see a movie, don’t even think about seeing that movie for at least the first week that it came out.

If you think that presale tickets are the only records to be broken before the movie even comes out, prepare to be amazed. The trailer itself had gotten 289 million views in a 24 hour period which is a record. And the movie's run-time is about 3 hours long which has beaten the previous record of Infinity War of 2 hours and 40 minutes. Infinity War has set the bar high for any other movies that might come out this year and is bound to set more after the movie has been seen by the general public. The only thing that we can do is hope as the general public is that the Russo Brother's buildup to the movie isn't better than the movie itself.
