Nuvo Nutrition: The good and the ugly
In September 2018, the newest nutrition club of Cleveland opened in Woodmere. Nuvo nutrition sells meal replacement shakes, all with less than 300 calories, needed vitamin and minerals, and 24g of protein to fuel you. Along with the shake, a complimentary tea that energizes you and helps you focus.
There are over 80 flavors of shakes with different categories including chocolate, cafe latte, banana caramel, mint chocolate, orange cream, vanilla, wild berry, cookies and cream, Pina colada, dulche de leche, and vegan.
Although Nuvo Nutrition looks like a new and interesting restaurant for a healthy snack, Nuvo Nutrition was underwhelming with an overwhelming price. Although this shake came with a complimentary tea, the menu is divided into parts with no prices, pulling you into add extras, for an extra price.
Senior Nicole Doemling states, “The cake batter milkshake was really good, but the complimentary tea was overwhelming with it, and the add-ins made one milkshake cost twenty dollars, although the milkshake was tasty, it definitely wasn’t worth almost twenty dollars.”
Many of the milkshakes were also inconsistent, not living up to the same quality every time.
Junior Chloe Longo states, “My friend and I got the same buckeye milkshake and hers was way thicker than mine.”
Going along with inconsistency, some flavored milkshakes were way better than others, the cake batter, oreo and brownie batter shakes were my favorite. While cookie dough did not live up to my standards.
Overall, Nuvo Nutrition, a place for healthy milkshakes is inconsistent in quality, but has a good taste. The complimentary tea is a nice add on, but made me full before I even got my milkshake.
Nuvo nutrition was mediocre, but as senior Maddy Wolkov states, “They have a weird way to make you crave a shake again.”
