Students vote on which is better, Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans

Having a day off or getting a snow day brings lots of opportunities for students. A great opportunity like going out to breakfast with your friends or family. However with that brings an argument of where you should go. For Aurora, there are pretty much two options, Bob Evans or Cracker Barrel.The constant debate exists between which is better. AHS students respond to a survey of which restaurant is better in their opinion.

Out of 111 students that responded, 56.7% of the students voted that they believe Bob Evans is better than Cracker Barrel. I think everyone is familiar with Bob Evans as a restaurant. The nearest one to Aurora is located on Aurora Rd., by Kohl’s. Bob Evans is very famous for their signature breakfast which is served all day, but they also served lunch and dinner.

“Personally for me, I had a bad experience with Cracker Barrel and the pancakes tasted gross. Bob Evans is close and their omelettes taste very good” said by Senior, Jack Arnold.

With the 111 students that responded, 39.4% of students said they thought Cracker Barrel was better than Bob Evans. Cracker Barrel is a very unique restaurant. It is a chain of combined restaurant and gift stores that has a country theme all around. The restaurant features knick knacks and artifacts used to decorate the store. Cracker Barrel is also known for their great breakfast, but also serve lunch and dinner.

“Cracker barrel has fun family stuff area like a gift shop and checkers outside. I think Bob Evans food taste like plastic and not real. Bob Evans is also expensive” stated by Seniors, Brynn Sesny and Julia Robinson.

Lastly, with the remaining students, 3.8% of the students said neither restaurants were better. There are of course good spots that people enjoy for breakfast, like First Watch or Original Pancake House, but these restaurants are not right in our backyard.

These two restaurants have been around for a long time and debate of which one is better will be around longer.
