How is Captain Marvel going to turn out?
Those who are active participants of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) understand why March is an important month for the MCU. Yes, you’ve guessed it. Captain Marvel is being released on the 8th of this month. Warning: If you haven’t watched some of the movies that are going to be listed then you might be in for some spoilers.
Now, people who find enjoyment in the movies only following the events of the Avengers might not see the relevance in Captain Marvel, seeing that her plot actually takes place in the ’90s before the Avengers actually ‘assemble’. You actually have the possibility of figuring out hints that appear in the next Avengers movie before they actually happen. If you’re attentive during the films, then you might be very familiar with the idea of Marvel dropping easter eggs here and there during the some of the most of unexpected times. ‘Easter eggs’ being small hints that you normally wouldn’t pick up or care to notice. Usually, in Marvel movies, they’re placed somewhere during the rising action or falling action where fans most focus are on the plot of the current movie that they’re watching.
Rumor has it that Captain Marvel might be the strongest Avenger that the MCU has. And even though her plot takes place before most of the Avengers, we can’t forget one vital fact. She isn’t the first! Captain America, the worlds first Avenger, had existed decades previous to Captain Marvel. Nevertheless, Captain Marvel fan theories show that she’s going to pack a wallop to the entire franchise. There are a lot of interesting theories predicting what Captain Marvel is going to do, but here are some of the ones that are going to make sense. One of the theories is that we’ll finally find out how Nick Fury looses his eye. It’s known that Nick Fury is a very active member in Captain Marvel and in this time period he has his eye. In this movie, the confirmed antagonist is the Skrulls who are shapeshifters. In Captain America Winter Soldier, Fury states that the person that took his eye was that of someone he trusted and seeing that the antagonist can turn into anyone it seems very likely that they could have turned into someone that he trusted.
As earlier stated, Captain Marvel might be the strongest character that the MCU will ever have. Well based off that, one fan theory is that she might be strong enough to be able to wield the Infinity Gauntlet. However, since we don’t actually know what other stuff the Infinity Gauntlet is actually capable of then that information doesn’t do much help progress the story line. Even though this is diverging from the Captain Marvel plot, there is the theory that some of the Avengers will each individually be able to hold the infinity stones and be able to bring back their fallen comrades and half the population of the universe of course.
One thing is for certain: we’ll be seeing Captain Marvel in Avengers Endgame. Even though she wasn’t a thing in Avengers Infinity War, we didn’t see her disappear either so we can safely assume that she might be a fresh new face that we get to see.
