The Ted Bundy Tapes: for people who love thrilling true stories
Do you like Documentaries? Do you like murder mysteries? Then this may be the show for you. The Ted Bundy Tapes were released on January 24, 2019 as a new Netflix Series. The series consists of 4 episodes that are all around 50 - 60 minutes long. Each episode talks about different aspects in the Ted Bundy trials during the 1970s.
This Docu Series is about one of the most notorious serial killers in America, Ted Bundy. Bundy was convicted in the deaths of more than 30 women before being caught in 1978. Bundy was a rapist, kidnapper, burglar, and necrophile.
The Ted Bundy Tapes are told through several different point of views. It is based on the tapes that Ted Bundy himself recorded and spoke in the third person point of view. Many detectives and close friends of Bundy also speak up about all the investigations and share their personal experiences with him.
The director, Joe Berlinger, puts parts of the trial together and interviews with police officers and detectives during the 1970s who had worked on his case. There is footage of Ted Bundy as well as audio recordings of him that were created while he was on death row.
This Netflix series is very interesting and also very thrilling. The fact that we are able to watch and listen to the real tapes that he had recorded during that time is crazy.Once you start watching, you will get reeled in and it will be hard to stop. This series is more for high schoolers and up due to graphic images. I would recommend this Docu Series to anyone who enjoys a thriller and a murder mystery. Also for anyone who enjoys learning about specific events that happened in our history.
