Aurora needs more fast food places

Have you ever been craving Panera or Chipotle or Chick Fil A, but don’t want to drive all the way to Twinsburg, or Solon, or Macedonia. If you have, you are not the only one. With Aurora’s limited number of fast food restaurants, it can feel repetitive and grueling to eat the same food over and over again. And that is why Aurora needs to invest in more fast food restaurants.

With McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Subway as the only true fast food places to go to in Aurora, consumers are left with very limited options.

“Almost every time I want to go get something to eat, I drive outside of Aurora”, said Sophomore Jack Fecko.

The limited number of restaurants in our town leads to people leaving the city to go get food. This means that other towns are getting more revenue and more payout from the businesses in their town.

Chick-Fil-A and Chipotle are some of the most popular fast food places and Aurora has neither one them.

Junior James Austin said, “Chick-Fil-A is so good, I’d love to have one in Aurora.”

But the closet Chick-Fil-A is in Macedonia or Warrensville Heights, both of which are over 25 minutes away. Chipotle is a bit closer, the closest being in Twinsburg and Solon, both of which are still over 15 minutes away.

Aurora has plenty of room for these restaurants too, the lot where the old Starbucks would be a perfect place for a new Panera or Chipotle, it does not have a drive through but neither does Panera or Chipotle. Also the location is in Barrington plaza so it is already a well known and busy location so it would bring in plenty of business. As for other restaurants, there is a giant plot of land across from McDonald’s that is not being used for anything and would be perfect for another fast food restaurants such as Chick-Fil-A.

Not only would more fast food places bring in more business to the city, it would make a lot of people a lot happier, and a lot less hungry.
