A new Netflix movie
Netflix has produced a new movie called You Get Me and it is only available on Netflix.
You Get Me is about a boy named Tyler (Taylor John Smith) who is in love with his girlfriend, Ali (Halston Sage), but when they get into a fight and break up; he ends up spending the night with Holly (Bella Throne), an out of town girl. Holly shows Tyler the time of his life and they have a one night stand. The next morning, Ali and Tyler end up getting back together and Tyler discovers that Holly has transferred to his school. Holly is desperate to do anything to save Tyler and her’s romance.
You Get Me is rated TV-MA because it mentions sex, has a sex scene, has profanity, and has a party scene with drugs and alcohol.
The main actors are Bella Thorne, Halston Sage, and Taylor John Smith. Bella Thorne also stars in Midnight Sun and Shake It Up. Halston Sage is also in The First Time, Paper Towns, Before I Fall, and Grown Up 2. Taylor John Smith is also in Lost Child and Wolves.
The strengths of this movie are that it keeps you in suspense throughout the whole movie, allows you to relate to the characters, and the producers allow the audience to connect with the characters.
However, the weaknesses of the movie are that it was slow-paced, it is cliche because you could predict the outcome, and it creates a stereotype of a high school student's life.
The best audience for You Get Me is a high school student who likes romantic and suspenseful movies.
As you watch the movie you will be on the edge of your seat trying to see what happens at the end of the movie. As events unfold, the producers showed the audience that love can overcome anything.
All in all, I recommend the movie, You Get Me, to teenagers who want to be on the edge of their seats and watch what love can conquer.
