Insomnia Cookies: best late night treat
Insomnia Cookies is a chain of bakeries in the United States that specializes in delivering warm cookies. There are a number of Insomnia Cookie establishments around Ohio but the closest one to Aurora is located in Kent near Kent State University.
Insomnia is a great place to go for a late night snack. The cookies are always readily available for delivery and you can even request for them to be freshly baked if you do not want the ones laying out in the display cases or on the racks in the back of the bakery. They also have big fridges full of milk you can enjoy with your dessert.
The menu is huge with all different types of cookies. Some of their most famous cookies are: chocolate chunk, double chocolate chunk, peanut butter chip, snicker doodle and many many more. When you walk in you have the option to buy single individual cookies or a pack of them. There are 6, 12, 18 or 24 packs that you can buy and pick out the cookies you want in the pack (kind of like ordering donuts).
Insomnia also makes deluxe cookies and cookie cakes. There are three deluxe cookies; the chocolate peanut butter cup, s'mores and the triple chocolate. These cookies are much bigger than the traditional ones. The cookie cakes can have personalized writing on them and be delivered to a special someone on their big day!
When I went to Insomnia I was with my family and some of my good friends. I had the triple chocolate cookie and my one friend had the s’mores cookie. We both thought it was absolutely delicious and the flavor was great. I also bought some milk because the cookie was very sweet. I really liked the atmosphere of the bakery, it smells so good when you walk in the door.
Insomnia also has great A La Modes. You can get a cookie served with delicious ice cream. The ice cream is served with either a fresh baked cookie or a brownie. Along with all of this, Insomnia also does catering. They can deliver you cookies for a large party or work gathering so everyone can enjoy a sweet treat at the event.
I would personally give Insomnia Cookies a 8.4/10 rating. I would have given it a 10/10 but the total cost can be a little unreasonable. The cookies lean more towards the expensive side and the prices may vary on the location of the Insomnia you visit.
Overall, Insomnia Cookies was a great experience for me and I would recommend it to anyone looking to satisfy their sweet tooth!
