Take your blindfolds off before watching Netflix's new hit film Bird Box
Netflix has recently come out with a new hit movie called Bird Box. This Netflix original is about a mother to be who is unsure that she will form a connection with her child. While the end of the world is approaching, she has to go through many obstacles to keep her, her children, and her friends safe. A paranoia invades the group of strangers when they’re dealing with both the unknown and the worry that they may never again see the outside world or fully understand what's hiding in it. This prompts the characters to have to live without seeing. They have to use blindfolds when going outside or they just simply shut their eyes.
This film is based off of the famous novel by Josh Malerman. It is a futuristic action-movie during post-apocalyptic times. Thanks to the Netflix film, this novel has finally reached the best seller list.
This movie features many famous, crowd favorite, actors, actresses, and even singers. Sandra Bullock plays the main character in this film, Malory. Bullock has been in many other movies and Television shows as well, such as: The Blind Side, Miss Congeniality, Practical Magic, The Heat, etc. This movie also features Sarah Paulson who appears on many shows and movies as well, such as: Oceans 8, and American Horror Story. Even Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) is featured in this hit Netflix film. MGK is most known for his singing and rapping career. He sings many well known songs like: “Bad Things” and “The Break Up”.
After watching this feature, it has started a new challenge that people across the globe are trying out. It is known as The Bird Box Challenge where people wear blindfolds and try to do everyday activities. This creates many humorous and seemingly dangerous footage for many individuals.
One of my favorite parts of this movie is that you never know what is going to happen next. You are always hanging off the edge of your seat and always getting surprised. One thing that I was not particularly a fan of in this film was that it was kind of confusing at times. It showed certain scenes and characters said certain things that were never explained in the end.
I would recommend this Netflix film to anyone who enjoys movies that are set in a post-apocalyptic time period. I would say 15 and up can watch this film due to language and some scenes.
