Humorous take on Sherlock Holmes
Will Ferrell’s hilarious personality continues to make audiences roar in laughter. Ferrell is known for capturing goofy character personalities and the attention of his audience. In his newest movie “Holmes and Watson” he takes on a humorous version of Sherlock Holmes.
Other popular actors that take on the main roles and carry on the adventure of the film include John C. Reilly who plays Watson, Rebecca Hall, Kelly Macdonald, and Lauren Lapkus.
This movie follows Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson as they investigate a murder in Buckingham Palace and threat to the queen of England. The movie keeps you guessing like a typical Sherlock Holmes movie. It allows the audience to follow along in the movie and come up with their own conclusions for the mystery.
While the movie seems to have a clear answer to the case, it takes some unexpected turns. I enjoyed this because it took the Sherlock and Watson on a hilarious and mysterious adventure.
However, I would give this movie a 2.5 out of five rating overall. While the movie had a few funny parts that make audiences giggle from the stupid comedy the plot itself was bland and not very entertaining.
While I typically love any Will Ferrell movie, I would definitely have to say that this was not his best. Overall, I would not recommend seeing this movie.
