"Ralph Breaks the Internet" breaks into 2019
Sequel “Ralph Breaks the Internet” opens up to an imaginative universe that emphasizes the importance of friendship and support. I saw the movie on Monday night and I loved almost the whole thing.
Main character Ralph and bestfriend bad girl Vanellope leave their arcade video game in order to find a missing part to Vanellope's race car game, Sugar Rush! To find the part, they must enter the world of the internet and follow the directions of the common people to find their way. Along the way, they enter a game called Slaughter Race and Vanellope falls in love with the game and wants to stay. Ralph worries that his friendship with her will fall apart if she stays in the game.
The characters from this movie stayed the same as the first movie, “Wreck it Ralph” and I think all of the characters voices and actions fit their cartoon. The character Vanellope is my favorite because she appears to be sweet and cute yet she also reveals another side of herself in this movie, she is rebellious and spunky and that makes her a great best friend for Ralph. Her voice is played by Sarah Silverman, a stand- up comedian, her voice is somewhat raspy and silly which fits Vanellope's character very well.
My favorite part of the movie was when Ralph made YouTube videos in order to raise money for Vanellope's game part. I liked it because it showed the real world and what having social media and access to internet is like. The fact that Ralph and Vanellope had no clue where they were made me think about what times before technology were really like.
My least favorite part of the movie was towards the ending, I found it to be very unclear and it didn’t flow well with the rest of the movie.
Overall, this is a movie for all ages, it would most likely appeal to younger children more than adults or teenagers but I enjoyed the message that the story told and I loved the characters.
