Do you want to build a snowman?
Aurora Parks and Recreation is putting on a Family Friendly Snowman Building Competition. Just take a picture of your snowman that you built in an Aurora, Ohio yard and email the photo to the Aurora Parks and Recreation Department: gerbert@auroraoh.com.
Freshman Nicole Stratton plans on entering in this competition. “I am so excited to build my first snowman of the 2018-2019 school year.”
The Aurora Parks and Recreation Director is encouraging anyone and everyone to join. Show your creativity and imagination. Build your favorite Disney or cartoon character and build your favorite animal or winter scene. You can build one by yourself, or you can get a group of your friends to join you in building your snow creation.
Sophomore Jeffrey Burger is also planning on entering this competition: “I am going to get a group of my friends together and we are going to make a dog snowman.”
This contest is open to all Aurora, Ohio residents. The Snowman must be built in Aurora by February 28, 2019 for you to be able to win the contest. When you enter, be sure to give your name and all other members who were involved in building the creation. One entry will win a special prize.
The Aurora Parks and Recreation Director has written on their webpage, “Please make sure your design is appropriate and clean up any decorations when your creation melts.”
Former graduate of Aurora High School, Dominic Stuber, has the intentions of building the best snowman their is: “A couple of my friends from high school and I are going to get together and build the biggest snowman.”
There are a lot of Aurora residents planning on attending this event. I would encourage you all to sign up for this event. This sounds like an amazing opportunity for everyone in Aurora to get together and make memories with their fellow Aurora residents.
