A new movie that’s a must see
On November 30, 2018, The Possession of Hannah Grace was released.
In the first week, The Possession of Hannah Grace earned approximately five million dollars. Originally The Possession of Hannah Grace was only showing in Macedonia’s Cinemark. However, in the second week of the movie being out, the Cinemark in Aurora was able to show the movie.
The Possession of Hannah Grace is a rated R film. The Possession of Hannah Grace is about a shuddering exorcism spinning out of control and claiming the life of a young girl. Megan Reed, a young cop who just recently got out of rehab, takes a job in the morgue of the city hospital. After she receives a disfigured corpse; she encounters a series of bizarre and violent events caused by an evil entity in one of the corpses. As she encounters the bizarre and violent events, she is alone in the morgue. As the strange events happen, she experiences half-rising visions. Thus, causing her to suspect that the dead body delivered that night is possessed by a ruthless demon.
The Possession of Hannah Grace stars Shay Mitchell, who is also in Pretty Little Liars, as Emily Fields. Stana Katic and Grey Damon were also cast in the movie. Stana Katic was also in Castle, she was Katie Beckett. Grey Damon was in Station 19, as Jack Gibson, and in Friday Night Lights, he was Hasting Ruckle.
The producers of The Possession of Hannah Grace are able to keep me on the edge of my seat as I watch the movie. Additionally, the producers referenced the beginning of the movie throughout the movie; making it easier to feel sympathy for the characters. As the horror unfolds before Megan Reed’s eyes, she is able to keep up with the demon and investigate the person’s life and the people involved with her life. Also, the movie is able to show how victims can become the hero at the end of the movie as long as they do not give up.
However, like every other movie, The Possession of Hannah Grace has some weaknesses. The scary scenes were not that scary. Whenever the demon would come into a scene, the scene was more funny than scary. The scenes were more funny than scary because the demon appeared in human and animal-like; the way the demon walked around and attacked made the audience laugh.
Overall, I would recommend the movie; it was a good movie besides the fact it was not that scary. The producers created a good storyline and was able to make the audience feel suspense as they watched the movie.
