Toy Story 4 coming to a theater near you soon

I think it’s safe to say that Toy Story has been a big part of many of our childhoods. When Andy grew up and headed off to college many felt it was the end of an era to the “Toy Story” series. It has just been announced that Toy Story 4 will be released on June 21, 2019.

The first teaser trailer has been released and although it doesn't reveal anything about the plot of the long awaited sequel, it does introduce a new character into the pixar world. This new characters name is Forky, a piece of plastic cutlery with pipe cleaners for arms.

The original announcement of the film was on June 16, 2017 but the date of release had also come and gone with no sign of the movie. Pixar has officially declared the film as a standalone adventure/love story that will center around a search for Bo Peep, who is the love interest of Woody.

John Lasseter (film animator and director) said that the story is in part based on the life of his wife, former Apple computer engineer Nancy. "Bo Peep really reminds me of my wife Nancy in many ways," he said. "And my wife Nancy has an incredible emotional story, before I met her, so it's a very personal story — as is every film at Pixar. But that's what this one's for me. It's a very touching story that's inspired by my love for my wife."

It has been said that all original character will be returning for the making of Toy Story 4: Woody (Tom Hanks), Bo Peep (Annie Potts), Jessie (Joan Cusack) and Buzz (Tim Allen).

Outside of the regulars, Patricia Arquette will reportedly be joining the fun to voice a character described as a "hippie mother".

Lasseter states, "We love these characters so much – they are like family to us. We don't want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what's gone before.”

The arrival of Toy Story 4 has many kids and their parents sitting on the edge of their seats. It is a heartwarming series that is not yet finished.
