The Flash sprints into a new season

The Flash is back on the CW for its fifth season. Based on the superhero from the DC Comics, The Flash follows the superhero of the same name who has super-speed. When not saving Central City from villains he is Barry Allen, a crime scene investigator who struggles to enjoy a normal life when not fighting crime.

Starring Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, the series has detailed his attempt to maintain his secret identity, improve in his superhero abilities, and uncover the truths about how his mother died. In this season, Barry and his girlfriend, Iris (played by Candice Patton), are visited by their daughter who comes from the future.

The Flash is the ideal show for fans of superhero movies, especially if those fans enjoy DC Comics. This is a show that is action-packed and each episode is left on a thrilling cliffhanger. The cliffhangers keep viewers guessing and coming back for more.

In past episodes, I have felt that there were lags. Some episodes just weren’t memorable. That being said, this season seems to be the most exciting one yet. With the arrival of their daughter from the future, the audience gets to see how Barry and Iris might be as future parents. Because of how impulsive their daughter is, plenty of conflict is created to excite the viewers. In addition, she knows secrets of the future that are tempting and, when revealed, provide suspense for the characters and audience.

I would recommend this show, especially this season, to fans of superhero stories. This season is more dramatic, emotional, and action-packed than all the others. Be sure to watch it on Tuesdays at eight on the CW.
