The "hot" new drama Station 19
It is that time of year in Ohio when it is about 40 degrees almost every day. So that narrows down a lot of outdoor activities. With this new time on your hands I highly recommend grabbing a blanket and a warm cup of hot chocolate and turning on a new TV series called Station 19.
Station 19 is an ABC spin off to the infamous Grey’s Anatomy. Officially airing first on March 22,2018, Station 19 takes place in the same city as Grey’s Anatomy, Seattle, Washington. The shows often times will interlap their episodes gaining viewers for both shows. So what is Station 19 about? This new binge takes you through the journey of Seattle firefighters on the job. From chief to rookie the watchers see the enduring calls firefighters make, while also keeping watchers engaged with tugs of the heart strings.
Station 19 can be found on the ABC channel. This engaging new drama airs a new episode every Thursday following the new episode of Grey’s Anatomy. The show promptly starts at 9:00 pm, yet for those that lead busy lives it can also be found anytime on Demand.
I would highly recommend watching this new drama for an immense variety of reasons. Now, personally I am a fan of many of the shows directed/written by Shonda Rhimes, thus for me it was no surprise Station 19 written by Stacy McKee with the help of Rhimes caught my attention. Station 19 is a feel good drama I would say that just simply allows you to pass the time. Love, Loss, Heartbreak, and Friendship all are portrayed in nearly every episode engaging the audience.
Starring, an all new cast of Jaina Lee Ortez, Danielle Savre, Alberto Frezza, Grey Damon, Barrett Doss and Okieriete Onaodowan. Also, starring a few more well known actors such as Chandra Wilson, Jason Winston George and Miguel Sandoval. The cast has indefinitely made their names know because of this new drama.
Now, many critics argue that Station 19 relays itself as an amateur TV series. Which after watching it I can understand where it may be corny or unrealistic to the reality of real firefighters’ lives. After watching though in my opinion this is a rare occurrence.
All in all I think with the amazing new cast, the humor and the intertwining storylines, Station 19 has made a name for itself. I would highly recommend the new TV series whether it be because you are a fan of Rhimes other series or even if you are just looking for a great new binge!
