A captivating show on Netflix

Have you ever questioned what show to watch next on Netflix? Well a deserving show to watch is The Shannara Chronicles because of its’ combination of different plots like action, romance and the supernatural.

The Shannara Chronicles was first shown on the MTV channel. However as the show continued, it was put on Netflix. And once it went on Netflix, its amount of watchers increased.

In The Shannara Chronicles, you get to experience a life with supernatural figures. Some of these figures are elves, demons, half-elves, trolls, druids, rovers, and magic. Also, the show allows its viewers to follow a triangle romance between a teenage boy and a girl, and another girl loves the boy.

Another thing the show does is break the stereotype of how girls cannot do what boys can do. They do this by showing that a girl can compete in a running competition that involves everyone, boy and girl, to be blindfolded as they run in the forest and out of the forest to get to the end of the race. By winning the competition, they would be able to become the protector of a tree that can destroy or protect the kingdom. Also it shows that no matter people’s differences, if there is a greater danger, people will come together to defend what they love, no matter their differences.

The starring actor of The Shannara Chronicles is Austin Butler. Butler was also in Zoey 101. And Poppy Drayton, and Ivana Baquero co-star in The Shannara Chronicles.

But like every other show out there, this show has its strengths and weaknesses.

The Shannara Chronicles strengths is that it has the ability to captivate the viewer’s attention, using a variety of techniques, like action, romance, and suspense, to make the viewer more interested in continuing the show. The show also defeats the stereotype put on girls. Also, it shows that once your destiny is determined, you have to follow it to help others and there is nothing you can do to fight it.

However, the weaknesses of The Shannara Chronicles is that only certain people would be able interested in watching the show. The audience would have to be intrigued with the supernatural and open minded to explore the unknown.

In my opinion if you are ever in need for a new show, I would completely recommend The Shannara Chronicles, especially if you have an interest in the supernatural with a twist of romance.
