Oak and Embers satisfies the hunger for BBQ

Any place that offers multiple entrees of smoked meat for reasonable prices is somewhere I would most certainly enjoy, and I did!

Oak and Embers is a casual, inexpensive barbecue restaurant that is often very busy. Making reservations in advance would greatly improve your service as the wait can get very long.

My first time there was amazing! As soon as I opened the doors the immediate smell of barbecue and a smoking grill hit me and I knew I would fall in love. As we were seated, I saw the portions of food and got a little worried but I soon realized that my meal was just as good the next day. Oak and Embers is a restaurant for the family, they have everything from soups, to salads, to meats and much more. They have a variety of sides and each entree comes with two sides and a piece of cornbread, if you’re looking to get full.. This is your place!

I have tried a few different things from this restaurant and my favorite so far has to be the smokehouse filet with sides of fresh cut fries and mac & cheese. The meal comes on a large plate and the filet is juicy and well cooked with little to no fat on it. The creamy mac n cheese is a perfect pasta side to add to the filet. As we waited, I realized that the only downside was waiting for your food, even though the service is great, the smell can really get you in the mood for food!! Ultimately, Oak and Embers is a must go place and if you are looking for a late night snack, they are open until 2:30 am!

Since I always go with my family, I have sampled a few other meals, such as the pulled pork, the brisket, and the barbecue ribs and I have loved them all! My favorite meal from the others that I have tried would have to be the ribs. The ribs were the first thing that I had tried, my mom brought some home and I only had a little piece but they were so delicious that I needed to go to the restaurant. Unfortunately, I have not gotten the opportunity to try a dessert but from what I have heard, they are to die for! Overall I would say this is a great place for dinner especially if you are looking for a place that has everything.
