A Band No One Listens to But Should
Music can help determine people’s moods.
The type of songs that make people feel better is songs they can relate to. And the band, Issues, makes their fans relate to their music. Issues is from Atlanta, Georgia, and the band was created in 2012 by former members of Woe, Is Me. And the band members are Tyler Carter, Michael Bohn, and brothers Cory and Ben Ferris. Issues is a type of band who sings about more personal things compared to singing about sex, money, drugs, or girls. For example, some of their songs are “Mad at Myself”, “Disappear (Remember When)”, and “King of Amarillo.”
Their songs are more personal because it assures people that they are not alone, and that they are loved no matter how they are feeling. And their songs allow for people to feel okay about expressing their emotions and that the members in the band can relate to people’s feelings. They can also write about girls who got their hearts broken, and people mad at themselves for letting people hurt them. And that even though it feels bad now, things will be okay in the end.
But, Issues has a very selected audience. Their audience is more towards people who can relate to their songs. And to be able to help people that need help through a hard time or to make sure they are not alone. But, this type of audience can make other people not like them. Some people could possibly not like the band, Issues, because the audience may think there songs are too dark and has a lot of emotions in every songs. Even though Issues may have a selected audience, it does not mean that people won’t like them. A variety of people can like this band. But in order to like it, you have to be willing to open up and listen to new music.
I would completely recommend listening to this band, and buying their CD! The reason why is because even though their music is different compared to what other people listen to, the band tends to be able to make you feel a certain way. They make you feel like you are not alone, and that people know how you are feeling, and that the songs make you feel better.
