Meghan Trainor's new song "No Excuses"

On March 2nd singer Meghan Trainor released a new song “No Excuses”. Meghan Trainor has been known to write songs about female empowerment, self acceptance and relationships.

This recent song continues with these themes as it talks about a boy mistaking a girl to be someone who who enjoys a quick fling. This is where her theme continues because she says, “You must’ve confused me, confused me with someone else.”

Her song portrays a message about how the boy in the song was raised better than that and about how Meghan is classier and is better than being treated that way.

Meghan Trainor released her first album, “Title”, on January 11, 2011. She was nominated for multiple Grammys including “Record of The Year” and her hit song, “All About That Bass”, was nominated for “Song of The Year”.

After a great deal of success with her first album, she released her second album, “Thank You”, on May 13, 2016. One of her songs “Me Too” that was featured on this album reached the Billboard Top 20 and her song “No” also reached the Billboard Top 100.

Currently, Meghan is working on a new album and is a judge on a new singing show called “The Four” with DJ Khaled and Diddy.

Personally, I am not a fan of this song. I enjoyed her first album when it was released, but after her second album it became more difficult to connect and enjoy her music. Sadly, this song followed that same pattern as her last album and I found it very difficult to enjoy it.

However, the song does have a catchy beat much like her other songs and she is a very talented singer who has accomplished many things in her career so far and will continue to be successful. I would not buy it myself on itunes, but most likely listen to it on the radio if it played.

If you are someone who liked her first and second album, then there is a good chance that you will like her new song as well.
