Sophomore of the week: Corissa Slaw

Here at Aurora High School we have so many interesting and unique students that deserve to be in the spotlight. Sophomore of the week, Corissa Slaw is just one of those many students.

Favorite Hobby: My favorite thing to do is read, but I also love writing and watching movies.

Sport participation: None.

Clubs and extracurriculars: I am in Pen Ohio (writing club) and Interact.

Job: I babysit sometimes, if that counts.

Volunteer Work: I volunteer through Interact by donating things and helping out with events. Recently I helped Interact donate to SolesforSouls.

Family/Siblings: Aside from my parents, I have a twin and a little sister.

Favorite food: My favorite food is peppers stuffed with rice, beef, and tomato sauce.

Favorite color: My favorite color is coral.

Pet/Dream pet: I have two cats, Sunny and Jersey, but I'd love to have a dog, too.

Dream career: I want to be an author of young adult books or realistic fiction.

Place you would like to visit some day: I'd love to visit Australia. Scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef has always been a dream of mine.

Favorite book/movie or song: My favorite book is Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi, my favorite movie is The Avengers, and it's impossible for me to chose a favorite song.

Fun fact about you: I love to roller skate and ice skate.
