Pardon My Take continues to impress sports world
Pardon My Take is the number one sports podcast in the world and is presented by Barstool Sports. It is hosted by Dan Katz who is better known as “Big Cat”, PFT Commenter, and producer Henry “Handsome Hank” Lockwood. The podcast features new episodes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Pardon My Take is a comedic sports podcast. It was founded in February 2016 and has grown a massive following since. It is known for its signature segments as well as featuring a well-known guest each episode. The podcast briefly had its own show on ESPN called “Barstool Van Talk” but was terminated after one episode due to controversy between the companies. It is estimated that the podcast receives over 1 million listens per episode. It holds a five star average rating from over 28 thousand ratings.
Dan “Big Cat” Katz is one of the longest tenured employees at Barstool Sports. He is from Chicago, Illinois and is an avid Chicago sports and Wisconsin Badger fan. He originally ran Barstool Chicago before the company’s move to New York CIty. Big Cat is one of the company’s most well-known talents and has over five hundred thousand followers.
PFT Commenter is a pseudonymous sports writer and on-air talent for Barstool Sports. He writes about football and U.S. politics while covering all topics on-air. His name originates from the “hot takes” in ProFootballTalk.com’s comment section. PFT originally wrote for SBNation; however, his following has exploded since joining Barstool Sports.
Pardon My Take is far and away one of the most entertaining podcasts available. Big Cat and PFT have a unique chemistry that allows them to make a conversation out of anything. Due to their following they are able to attract many of the top celebrities and athletes to join the podcast. The duo always finds a way to make the show entertaining and enjoyable from start to finish.
I highly recommend Pardon My Take to anyone interested in sports. The podcast offers a sarcastic yet insightful view on sports and many other topics while always finding a way to humor the audience. It is for good reason Pardon My Take is the number one sports podcast in the world. Three episodes per week is a good balance for the audience to always keep up while not getting tired of hearing the same voices. The only warning is that some topics or language may be offensive to some listeners. However, I highly recommend Pardon My Take to anyone wanting some humorous and enjoyable sports talk!
