Seniors Begin to Explore Internship Options
Seniors are beginning their search for internships projects. As Assistant Principal Brian Brookhart states, “Senior Internship Project is an opportunity to participate in an exploration of a possible career path. Seniors can gain authentic experiences in an area which interests them, and/or an area which they may be considered as a future profession.”
If students are having a difficult time finding an internship, here are some examples of other students:
MeriClare Honsaker said, “Mrs. Lindley set up an opportunity for me at the Learned Owl in Hudson. I am not sure exactly what I’ll be doing but I’m looking forward to being around so many books.”
Eve Murray described her adventure as, “I’m working at FieldStone Farm - it’s a therapeutic horse riding nonprofit organization for children with disabilities and military veterans. I get to take care of the horses and working with the instructors to create and execute exercises.”
Joe Capretta stated, “I’m working at the GPlex sports facility. I’m going to learn the skills necessary for managing a small business and baseball facility.”
Santina Burdick added, “I’m working with Mr. Bizjack, he’s a chiropractor. Hopefully I’ll learn the ins and outs of a typical day at the office to see what my future could potentially look like.”
Sydney McDowell said, “I’m working at Darko in Bedford. I am working for a marketing director to learn the different ways when it comes to advertising products.”
Whether pursuing a future career or exploring interests, senior internship allows students the opportunities to do so.
