Henderson enters, seniors exit
If there’s one thing the Aurora basketball program has, it’s a reputation. However, what it may not have is consistency.
In our senior year, numerous players have decided it best for them to leave the team. However, the varsity squad still has a total of four seniors: Trevor Sobol, James Robinson, LeMeir Smith, and Cade Huffman.
Smith is looking forward to this season, “I’m excited for the playing time I’ll get this year.”
Huffman also has his expectations for the year, “I decided to keep playing because I love the game and I hope to play it at the next level.”
Seniors like myself, Lucas Krupinski, Zach Elsawy, Gavin Blunt, and Bobby Dirda have all decided to go their separate ways with basketball.
Bobby Dirda elaborates, “Last year’s coach ruined my love of the game so I decided not to come back.”
The underclassmen now have a great chance to shine and develop under the leadership of new coach TJ Henderson.
With the teams all decided and preparing for battle, this season of Aurora basketball will one to keep your eyes on.
