Welcome to the World of Gaming

Explore the depths of your imagination this Friday in the library. The Gaming Club welcomes everyone and there are several different games being played every Friday. Currently some people are playing Hoard of Dragon Queens, Yugioh, GURPS and they will be starting a new Pathfinder module.

The club started about 15 years ago when Mr. Pichola was at Harmon. Some students wanted to have a club to play D&D and Magic. When he moved to High School, the club moved with him.

Pichola says “ A lot of these games continue over the summer, or on weekends, which is kind of what I was going for in starting the club. It's really open to any kind of games like this, as long as they're not computer games. I want the kids to talk and interact with each other. At least 2 kids (that I know of) have gone on to start or run similar clubs at their colleges.”

For all those interested, the first all day Gaming Club will be on the wednesday before thanksgiving, 9 am to 3pm, (no leaving once you are here).

When asked, Is there anything you think possible members/other students should know about this club before joining? Several members agreed that people should just try it, and not judge it. There is room for all. Also, it is not a video game club.

One improvement the members would like to see is more space to game. There are always at least 2-4 games going on at once in the library, having rooms would allow each group to enjoy their game without disrupting others. However, they still have a great time with everything going on.
