We all think that nothing is faster than the speed of light. However, there is one superhero we all know and love that is so fast, he can go back in time. Meet the Flash. The Flash is a T.V. show that is still on air. It currently has 3 seasons and the 4th season is on T.V. right now. This article will focus on the first season only. In a nutshell, a teenage boy name Barry Allen(Grant Gustin) is struck by a powerful lightning bolt created by S.T.A.R. labs. As a result, he is in a coma for 9 months. After 9 months, Barry suddenly wakes up with extraordinary speed powers. He wakes up in S.T.A.R. labs accompanied by Cisco Ramon(Carlos Valdes), Caitlin Snow(Danielle Panabaker), and Dr. Harrison Wells(Tom Cavanagh). All of these people are scientists with great personalities and Barry becomes very good friends with all of them. Together they stop criminals such as Captain Cold, and other dangerous villains across the city. Also Dr. Harrison Wells is a great mentor to Barry when it comes to using the power of speed.

Barry Allen has an adoptive family. The reason he has that is because his mom died by a mysterious super villain when Barry was only a toddler and his dad was sent to jail due to circumstantial evidence even though his dad is completely innocent. Ever since that event, Barry’s adoptive dad, Fred Chyre, has been a terrific father and close friend. He is also a police detective. Barry’s adoptive sister, Iris, is a news reporter and a very close friend to Barry. As soon as the Flash becomes popular, Iris writes journals about him and tries to find out who the Flash is. Yes, Barry hasn’t told his family that he is the Flash.

This terrific and thrilling T.V. show has many strengths and a few weaknesses. One strength is the character building. You will grow throughout the season to love all characters. Therefore, the plot itself is intense and unpredictable. That is another strength this show has. The plot is thrilling and it draws you in and makes you want to see what will happen next. One weakness this show has are the villains. There are some villains that are awesome in every way. However, most villains are very temporary and lame. In fact, the villains get defeated very quickly.

Overall, you should definitely spend your time on The Flash season 1 because of its great plot and characters. After you watch season 1 you have to watch the rest of the seasons. The 3 seasons of the Flash are at Netflix so you can watch them anytime. It is enjoyable.
