Our Lovely Library
Wealth beyond wildest imagination can be found at Aurora High School. X marks the spot in our newly renovated library. A treasure trove of new books to explore among beautiful plants as one finds the addition of more comfortable study areas appealing.
The renovations complete the homey and helpful atmosphere.
Business Teacher Kathy Weimken says, “The improvements create a more inviting comfortable atmosphere for student collaboration.”
Vicki Wolf, who oversees the library, is truly hoping the improvements will encourage students to visit. “I would like to see students taking advantage of our resources, and read for pleasure,” added Wolf.
Many students are looking to explore the new and improved library.
“I don’t usually go to the library, but I was unaware of the renovations. I don’t really have time to go to the library but I might consider it” said sophomore Rebecca Bjelopera.
Her fellow classmate, Leia Bromfield said, “ I didn’t know and don’t usually go unless I have homework. But if it has been redone I will definitely spend more time there now.”
There is a large selection of magazines and books right at our fingertips. Reading for pleasure has never been easier. Students do not need anything to sign a book out and can renew it every 2 weeks as long as they do not have any outstanding late books.
The main area of the library is open to students as early as 7:15 am, all students need to do is have a pass if they are leaving a class or study hall. Specific classes have the Innovation Lab and Collaboration Room to use.
