"It Ends With Us" captures audience with YA love story
"It Ends With Us", by Colleen Hoover, is an intense story about Lily who is struggling to make the right decision between love and her morals.
During Lily’s childhood, she had a homeless best friend named Atlas who helped her cope with the fact that Lily’s mother was being abused by her father. Atlas is forced to leave Lily with a broken heart.
Years later, when Lily meets a stranger, Ryle, on a rooftop, her life will never be the same. Throughout the novel, Lily and Ryle’s relationship grows and flourishes until one day, everything changes. In the heat of an argument, Ryle hits Lily.
The plot thickens when Lily runs into her old friend Atlas and soon discovers she’s pregnant with Ryle’s child. Will Lily stay with the man she loves or will she learn from the mistakes of her mother?
Colleen Hoover was born on December 11, 1979 and published her first novel in January 2012. She is the author of 11 novels and 5 novellas. She is married to William Heath Hoover and they live in Texas with her three sons. Seven of her books are New York Times bestsellers and has a new book coming out in October of 2017.
Colleen Hoover did a fantastic job at keeping the audience interested and continuing to add unexpected conflicts to make the story more intense. If you’re not a fan of romance novels then this may not be the book for you, but Colleen does a great job of adding more to the story than just a relationship.
This could also be her weakness because at times, there is too much occurring at one time, She always finds a way to do the unexpected and shock her audience. Another thing that’s great about Collen is that she always provides closure at the end of her books.
Overall, I would recommend this book to everyone. The book is definitely worth the time and money for anyone who likes YA fiction. Personally, I think Colleen Hoover is an amazing author and I am a huge fan of her and all of her work.
