AHS Senior invites all students to attend S.W.A.P. Blackout
AHS Senior Cal DiJulius invites students to participate and attend a local fundraiser in Cleveland to help raise funds for his organization, Believe in Dreams, sponsored by Students With A Purpose (S.W.A.P.).
The event, on February 27th from 7:30-11:30 at the ALOFT Hotel in downtown Cleveland, will feature DJ E-V and other surprise guests. Through this event, the goal to raise over $20,000 in order to impact the lives of kids just like us in Malawi and Cleveland!
Believe in Dreams is a Cleveland-based nonprofit organization that aids in fulfilling dreams of deserving kids with non-medical hardships in northeast Ohio.
S.W.A.P. (Students With A Purpose) is a student run organization whose committee members represent high schools in the Cleveland area and are dedicated to giving back by raising awareness and financial contributions to impact the schools, lives, and communities of others. Along with DiJulius, AHS Senior Alyssa Shwartz is also among the organization’s leaders.
Another organization being sponsored at the event is H.E.L.P., a Cleveland-based nonprofit organization working to improve access to quality education and healthcare in rural Malawi, Africa.
Tickets are $30.00 online and $40.00 at the door, plus service fees. Just as the name suggests, guests are encouraged to wear all black attire to correspond with this year’s “blackout” theme. All proceeds will help benefit H.E.L.P. Malawi and Believe in Dreams.
A signed waiver and release form are required at checkout (if ordering tickets online) or forms must be present when checking in for students under 18. An ID must be present to be admitted into the building.
