Great acting is 'Caught in the Act' on AHS stage

Aurora High School’s fall play, Caught in the Act, will be debuting on November 20 and 21 at 7:00.

Director Rob Albrecht said, “I chose the play based on a recommendation from a friend of mine who is directing it at Gates Mills Playhouse. The play is about a small community theatre company trying to put on a play when they find out a killer is on the loose. The killer’s main target is a small community theatre cast with an intent to kill on opening night.”

Actors include Senior Katie Kronz, Juniors Abbey Ingram and Carli Reitz and Sophomores Lily Olsen and Sammi Friedler.

“I think people can be excited for the cast. There are two actors from last year’s Fall Play that didn’t graduate who are back in this year’s cast. Everyone else is new. For many of them this is their first time on stage so that is exciting to me, ” Albrecht said.

The cast has put a lot of hard work into the show and hopes everyone will be able to come see it.

Junior Abbey Ingram said, “Over the past couple of months I’ve enjoyed getting to know the rest of the cast. I think the show is pretty funny, and I hope the audience will too. We’ve worked really hard on this show, and I hope people will come to see it!”

Rehearsals can, at times, last for three hours a night and can be tedious, but the cast wants to put on a good show no matter what.

“It’s exhausting, but the cast is full of talented actors and we’ve all been working really hard to put together a great show,” said Junior Carli Reitz.

The cast and crew has worked hard in order to put on a great show, so don’t be “caught” not seeing it.
