Starbucks' New "Fang-tastic" Frappula

As Halloween approaches, companies race to invent the newest holiday related, and Starbucks is no exception.

Starbucks recently released a limited edition Halloween Frappuccino, which they report as being quite successful. The frappuccino is called The Frappula, in order to align with the Halloween spirit. The new drink is a mixture of both white chocolate and mocha syrup, drizzled with a bright red hue of raspberry syrup, meant to resemble blood. The Frappula is topped with a generous portion of whipped cream, similar to most of Starbucks other drinks.

The drink serves as a new alternative to the Pumpkin Spiced Latte, which is a popular, drink during fall, at least for the week leading up to Halloween.

Senior Brittany Schambach said, “It’s so good and is a nice change from the PSL.”

This drink is limited edition because of its holidayesque nature, and will only last until October 31st. It has received higher ratings than Starbucks 2014 drink, The Franken Frappuccino. The drink has a sweet, yet refreshing taste and is considerably different than Starbucks normal menu, as well as their last year’s featured Halloween beverage, the Franken Frappe made of green tea and chocolate.

Overall, the Frappola is Starbucks latest holiday edition to their menu, which is going over exceedingly well. The new taste appeals to frequent customers who have tried just about everything on the menu, and have an acquisition for something new. The drink lasts for a limited time, so be sure to sink your teeth into the gore oozing beverage.
