'How to Get Away with Murder' is worth living for
Thought you could only love Scandal? Wrong. How to Get Away with Murder is one of the quickest popular rising show on television.
Annalise Keating is a no nonsense defense attorney and law professor at Middleton University. She uses five of her students to help with her overload of cases. The show follows a murder mystery dealing with the students, Annalise and their loved ones. Viewers are led to question everything. On top of the murder mystery, there are intense, parallel cases in every episode in which Annalise defends the accused.
Other than the murder mystery which is the central idea, the characters on the show are unique. Annalise Keating is the queen in the courtroom who wins her cases in classic and dramatic flair. There are also peeks into her private life, which will later tie into court cases. Moreover, a close eye is kept on her five law students; the ambitious Michaela Pratt (Aja Naomi King), the boy-next-door Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch), sly and cunning Connor Walsh (Jack Falahee), idealistic Laurel Castillo (Karla Souza) and the entitled know-it-all Asher Millstone (Matt McGorry).
How to Get Away with Murder can be added to the list of successful shows Shonda Rhimes has created. Rhimes is a television producer and writer. She is best known as the creator, head writer, executive producer and showrunner of the medical drama television series, Grey's Anatomy, its spin-off Private Practice and the political thriller series Scandal. How to Get Away with Murder premiered in September of 2014 and has recently started season two, which airs on Thursdays at ten pm.
The very first episode will pique your curiosity, leaving you shaking with suspense. The murder plot gets more exhilarating with each episode.The characters also have entertaining personal lives making the show even more compelling to watch. However, the show does get a bit confusing sometimes because there are many subplots and twists. But who doesn’t love a good soap opera with all kinds of crazy, chaotic things going on which consistently surprises the viewers on a weekly basis?
